This course will teach you to make a variety of interesting book structures helping you to reframe your work, develop your practice and potentially make your art more accessible to alternative markets.

You will learn some basic book-making techniques including folding, sewing, covering and casing-in, using tools and materials that are both inexpensive and easily accessible. You will also learn specific book structures such as flag books and crown binding and will have time to explore and experiment with these and other formats. You will leave with several beautiful books, lots of ideas and the ability to continue with your own projects.

Materials will be provided for the workshop, but please feel free to bring along any of your own that you'd like to work with.

This workshop is aimed at artists who may be complete beginners or wish to refresh their book binding skills and develop their ideas alongside like minded people.

Tea and coffee etc. will be provided but please bring along your own lunch.
